"The bass would capture my imagination and the words would

be like armor".

"We couldn’t afford to misinterpret the sound because of bad feelings that may occur"

1. Passion - For the long hours reading and learning everything about the intricacies of the operation. Try and test until perfection is self-evident!

2. Focus - Essential for the development of your magnetism ability. Necessary to understand your audience.

3. Manipulation - The key to maintaining the liveliness of the sound and being able to lift the keys colourfully to perfection.

4. Imagination Either you have it or you better find it! A selector must give the public a mix that will move them and enable them to control the mood.

5. Integrity - Being consistent meant people got to know your Sound's identity.

6. Subtlety -  I was once told I played very subtle and it made me think how can I break it down?  Here is my explanation Dub rule 6 : The subtlety of the mix is in in the culture as Jamaicans do not tear up the echo. I need my dubs to be a subtle as silk; i.e reverb and the echo are paced to perfection.

7. 24 track - Undoubtedly, this gives you the freedom to rule your Dub to get as many different versions.

8. Technique – Create ways to make your style unique. In entertainment, it's vital to develop your own style to avoid imitation and limitation.

9. Respect - is something that one earns.  In order to obtain it, keeping up a standard throughout is best option as people are always looking to you for the next best thing.

10. Money - When the value and all the other dub insights stated are in place, 1) don't undervalue your ability 2) keep evolving, 3) Make sure you are paid your worth.

11. Individuality A key component that is essential in a sound clash.  Today that component is missing which dilutes the ability to distinguish a Clash. With nothing to manipulate there is no Clash.
